Kips Bay Dallas Loves Perennials
When Kips Bay Show House announced their next city to be Dallas, we could not be more thrilled. The home of Perennials HQ, Texas' design community is near and dear to our hearts. We are thrilled these Kips Bay Dallas designers included Perennials in their beautiful spaces.
The Kips Bay Dallas Show House brought together the best of the best of Texas design. Designers from all over the state converged on Dallas, bringing with them an array of perspectives and styles. Discover how Kips Bay Dallas incorporated Perennials’ fabrics and rugs into the house.
Sherry Hayslip
Dallas-based designer Sherry Hayslip took on the upstairs loft area in the house. She transformed the room into a functional art gallery, showcasing an array of local artists. Hayslip designed a custom sectional for the loft, using Swanky in Sea Salt for the base.
Tracy Hardenburg
Tracy Hardenburg designed the indoor/outdoor Screen Porch, a chic eclectic entertaining space complete with cigar tables. Hardenburg’s special touches included hand-painted chairs and a stunning tequila bar. The Dallas-based designer also used Perennials’ Cadence quality in Desert Rose to adorn the arched windows.
Chad Dorsey
Chad Dorsey is known for his contemporary yet comforting spaces, and his kitchen design for Kips Bay Dallas is no exception. Dorsey transformed a dark traditional kitchen into a bright modern space. Dorsey included a chic nook to enjoy a cafe au lait, utilizing Perennials’ On the Lamb in White Sands for the built-in sofa. A perfect (bleach-able) solution to white dining upholstery!
Marcus Mohon
Austin-based interior designer Marcus Mohon created a dreamy Breakfast Lounge filled with unexpected accents and rosy hues. “The style woven throughout this room evokes the feel of a boutique hotel lounge,” explains Mohon. He designed a beautiful sofa upholstered in Whippersnapper in Desert Rose, anchoring the romantic space.
Melissa Gerstle
Melissa Gerstle tackled the backyard and pool design, utilizing the best Perennials has to offer! Gerstle’s design is a black and white outdoor masterpiece. She paired Sutherland pieces with an array of Perennials fabrics, including:
Kevin Spearman
Kevin Spearman‘s mid-century modern Covered Porch epitomizes indoor/outdoor comfort. Spearman incorporated Perennials’ Shadow Box rug design (available via Ready to Roll!), as well as Very Terry in Oyster on the custom white outdoor sofa – talk about fearless design!
Viviano Viviano
Mother-son design duo Viviano Viviano built an upscale, yet grounded Family Room that layers conversational pieces with earthy tones. They upholstered a chic chaise in Perennials’ Plushy velvet in Sand colorway, a sophisticated neutral.
This Perennials velvet is indestructible but looks and feels like a million bucks.
Ten Plus Three
Dallas-based design firm Ten plus Three created a seductive upstairs lounge featuring engaging artwork and luxe textures. Alongside a backlit wet bar, the team upholstered a modern sofa in Perennials’ chenille Fairhaven, which is accessorized with Shell Plushy pillows.
Sees Design
Tasked with reinvigorating the bar, Sees Design created magical space inspired by a Bunny Mellon garden. Sees embraced maximalism and incorporated an array of prints and patterns, from floor to the ceiling. They took notes from a king of maximalism, Timothy Corrigan, and used Corrigan’s fabric quality for Perennials, Eastern Eden in Newsprint.
Erin Sander
Dallas-based designer Erin Sander‘s Kips Bay Dallas space is small in size, but mighty in style. Sander’s mudroom abounds with unique details, from tile to sconces. She crafted a sophisticated banquette using Perennials’ Plushy in Shell, which would resist the toughest stains from muddy boots.
